Not only does Telco Plus donate to several charities in our areas, our employees also give their money and time. Our time is spent to benefit charities, local events, our members, and local schools. Organizations that we proudly support:

Blue Santa Project

We are raising money for Longview PD and Tyler PD’s Blue Santa Project. This wonderful program takes children in-need Christmas shopping with a police officer. Every November and December we raise money for this great organization. Please consider helping us raise money to benefit children and creating a positive experience with the police department.

East Texas Food Bank

Soldiers

Telco Plus loves our brave men and women who serve or have served for our country. During the month of November we raise money and collect items to send care packages to the soldiers at Christmas with Operations Gratitude. We also collect cell phones year around. Telco Plus is an official drop off location for Cell Phones for Soldiers. You can drop your phone off at either of our locations and we will pay for the shipping cost.

Education

Telco Plus strives to be a financial solution in each person's life. We do this through three forms of educational support; Reality Fairs, Credit Classes, and Scholarships.

The Reality Fair is an enlightening and enriching program that teaches students to live within their budget. We team up with local high schools to hold Reality Fairs. Students are asked to choose a career and are given a real-life entry salary for that career. They have to visit booths like housing, transportation, food, and are tempted with "extras" such as electronics and pets. They also must spin the "wheel of reality" where they can be faced with unexpected expenses such as a speeding ticket or rewarded with an unexpected check from Grandma for their birthday. The lessons they learn here not only help prepare them for their future, but can give them a better perspective of what their parents face each day.

We offer one-on-one Credit Counseling to all of our members by appointment. Once a quarter we offer free evening workshops to educate members on understanding credit, how to read a credit report, and how to improve credit scores. We even go into the schools and sponsor companies to teach the same lessons. Please check our quarterly newsletter "The Plus Source" to see workshop schedules.

Every Spring Telco Plus gives away a $500 scholarship for any member’s graduating senior that plans to attend college. The video applications are very interesting and fun for us and the students.
