35 Specials - Betty DeWeese, CEO started her career at the credit union 1983 and this year she will retire after 35 years of service.  And we will be doing “35 or 1983” promotions to commemorate her term throughout the year.  Current Special is a 12 month CD rate of 1.35%*. *1.36 Annual Percentage Yield.  Runs from Jan. 2 - Feb. 5, 2018. Have to sign up for E-statements. Penalties apply for early withdrawals made before maturity from all Certificates. $500 minimum opening deposit and maximum deposit of $5,000 per member, new money only.

Annual Meeting – This year’s Annual Meeting will be Monday, Feb. 19, 2018 at 6:30 pm at Maude Cobb, Longview, TX.  Please join us for a fun 80’s theme to vote on our Board of Directors, collect jars of peanut butter, and win cash!  Please bring a jar of peanut butter for the East Texas Food Bank for ONE extra ticket for the cash drawing.  Dress up in 80’s Clothes for cash prizes!  First Place - $83.

$5 Checking Accounts – Open any checking account with a $5 deposit!  If you open a Rewards Plus Checking account you will receive $35 after 35 days.  *Offer Jan. 2 – Feb. 28, 2018.  E-statements and telecheck approval required.  Limit one new checking account per person.  Account still in good standing at 35 days for the $35.

Free Credit Class – Tuesday, Jan. 30th, 5:30 pm, at the Longview Branch.  A FREE credit report can be provided.  Seating is limited, please RSVP by calling Crystal at 903-753-5588.  Attending a credit class will make you eligible for a loan discount, ask for the details.

Build an Emergency Fund Contest - $150 prize. Lots of people will make New Year’s resolutions to get out of debt but you should build an emergency savings account first! If you would like to participate, please download the file or pick one up in the credit union. The application needs to be in by Jan. 19th. Everyone who meets their saving goal by April 1st will be in a drawing for a $150. See the application for full rules and tips to build an emergency fund. Application.

Fee Changes - Deposited Item Return Fee for 3rd parties will increase from $13 to $25. Drilling of Deposit Boxes will go from $150 to “Our Cost”.  New rates start Feb. 15, 2018. 

Faster Transactions – with new technology and rules, transactions are processing closer to their intended dates.  Transactions will come out of your accounts faster and deposits will be in accounts closer to the official due dates.  Please set up auto payments with this in mind.  You can set up online banking alerts to see when deposits hit your accounts.  We also have free CardNav that you can download and use to see all transactions when they happen.

Prepaid Card Fee – our 3rd party provider for the prepaid cards is charging people $5 to speak with a live customer service rep.  We have no control over this fee!  Please use their website to avoid this fee.

Micro Business Loans - We do unsecured loans up to $10,000 and up to $50,000 on secured business loans.

Movie Passes

Telco Plus Credit Union offers to our members discounted Regal movie passes.  They are 30% cheaper than the theater and never expire.  The Premiere Passes are good to use any time, even opening night and movies that are posted "no passes."
